Our regular CFE Meetings include a raffle of items related to our hobby. We've had everything from patches and ball caps to a surplus fire hydrant in the raffle. If you have items you can donate to the raffle, just bring them).
May 2 (Saturday) - CFE Board and General Meeting (Fallbrook, CA)
Board and general meeting at 9:30 am. Museum tour at 1pm after lucnh break. Fallbrook History Museum, 1730 S. Hill Street, Fallbrook, CA 92028. From the North or East: Take I-15 to Mission Road exit. Go west on Mission Road about 7 miles to Rockycrest Lane. Turn right onto Rockycrest Lane. Turn left onto Hill Avenue. The museum will be on the left. From the South or West: Take Highway 76 to Mission Road. Go North on Mission Road about 6 miles to Rockycrest Lane. Turn left onto Rockycrest Lane. Turn left onto Hill Avenue. The museum will be on the left. After the meeting, we can tour the museum. The San Diego Chapter of the ATHS has also been invited to participate with their rigs, en route to the Perris ATHS Show the following day. There is plenty of room if anyone wants to bring a rig. June 20 (Saturday) - American Heroes Air Show (Lake View Terrace, CA)
9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Hansen Dam Sports Complex. Helicopter displays and demonstrations by local, county and state law enforcement and fire departments, as well as federal agencies such as U.S. Border Patrol and the U.S. military. Five-mile-long Code 3 parade hosted by Professional Cars International ending in a EMS/Fire apparatus display. Parade staging is at the Hill Street Cafe on the corner of Glenoaks Blvd. and Cohasset Street, which is on the border of Burbank and Sun Valley. Staging begins at 8 am, parade shoves-off at 9 am. June 27 (Saturday) - CFE Annual Pump-In (Pala, CA) New Location!
9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Pala Lakes in Pala, CA, 10421 State Highway 76 (about 1.5 miles west of the Pala Casino). Mike McDonald has worked with the Pala Band of Mission Indians to get their approval to use their lakes for our pump-in. We have also invited the surrounding agencies that have Water Tenders (CAL‑EMA‑OES/San Marcos, Pala, Palomar Mountain VFD and Rainbow that is part of NCF-Fallbrook) to the event so they can practice drill their drafting capabilities. We don't get the opportunity to pump very often, so bring your rig and pump from a real lake. On tribal land of the Pala Band of Mission Indians and not subject to state of CA restrictions. September 26 (Saturday) - 16th Annual Cruisin' for a Cure Car and Truck Show (Costa Mesa, CA)
Public show hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Rigs need to arrive by 7:00 am. Orange County Fairgrounds. The world's largest one day charity car show for finding a cure for prostate cancer featuring hot rods, classics, trucks, etc. There will be spaces for fire apparatus and there will also be a flag raising ceremony with CFE fire apparatus at the start of the event. Many classic and antique cars and trucks on display. Cruising all day. Vendors and displays. All proceeds to benefit City of Hope.
